Accounts

This section is for working through buttons, related lists and Lightning Pages for the Account object.

Content

Page Layouts

  • Click Setup, Object Manager, Accounts
  • Select Household Layout created in earlier step, Click Related Lists in the pallet
    • Add or remove related lists as needed, but include:
      • Contacts
      • Addresses
      • Fund Relationships
      • Opportunities
      • Contact Attributes
      • Files
      • Open Activities
      • Activity History
      • Other lists are optional
    • Click Save
  • Select Organization Layout created in earlier step, Click Related Lists in the pallet
    • Add or remove related lists a needed, but include:
      • Affiliated Contacts
      • Addresses
      • Fund Relationships
      • Opportunities
      • Account Attributes
      • Fund Distributions
      • Files
      • Open Activities
      • Activity History
      • Bank EFT
      • Contact Attributes
      • Other lists are optional
    • Click Save

Lightning Page

  • Select the Custom Lightning Account Record Page previously created for both Account record types.
    • Click Edit
      • Click Fields in left panel
        • Grab Dynamic Highlights Panel from panel and drag above the existing Highlights Panel

  • In right panel, Set Primary Field
  • Populate the desired fields in the Dynamic Highlights Panel by dragging them from the left

  • Set number of Visible Action Buttons, Click Add Action to select buttons

  • Add filters to Action buttons as needed

  • Click Save
  • Add Filter to Dynamic Highlight Panel for Organization Accounts

  • Repeat this process to add a Dynamic Highlight Panel for Household Accounts. Remove the standard Highlight Panel, Save
  • Click Tabs section, Click Record Detail
    • Click Upgrade Now button, Next

  • Select the Page Layout previously created for Organizations, Finish

  • Adjust the name of sections and move fields as desired
  • Add Filter to Tab for Organization Accounts (Record> Account Record Type> Name Equals Organization). This will allow users to see fields from the Organization Page layout.

  • Click Tabs, Add Tab, Drag Record Details from the Components Panel to the new Details tab
  • Click Upgrade Now in the right panel, Next

  • Select the Page Layout previously created for Households, Finish
  • Add Filter to Tab for Household Accounts. (Record> Account Record Type> Name Equals Household Account). This will allow users to see fields from the Household Account Page layout.
  • Move the new Details tab next to the original Details tab
  • Leave the Default Tab as “<First Tab>”

The Account Lightning Page should look something like this. This is dynamically filtered so when users open an Organization account, they will see the Organization details and when they open a Household account, they will see the Household details.
