Custom Settings and Metadata Types
Overview
There are a few Custom Settings and Metadata Types that are available for use in your org. Work with your team to determine if these are needed.
Content
Custom Settings
- Grant Settings
- Used to control rollup fields on the Account and Fund
- Enter the Status of Funding Requests that are considered Approved
- HHML Postal Mailing Report
- Enter the API Report Name of the report used to generate Household Postal Mailing
- Works with Campaigns and the Houshole Postal Mailing button
- Integration Services UserId
- Allows for an Integration User (which is moving data back and forth between Salesforce and an external system) to make updates to the Fund on GAU Allocation and Opportunity records. Whereas other users are blocked by a validation rule.
- Fiscal Year Start Month
- Works with Grant Budget functionality and allows for a fiscal year that is not a calendar fiscal year
- Also works with the Fund object and the Budget Year Type field that can be set to either Fiscal or Calendar for use when Funds are not using the same year format
Metadata Types
- D360 Setting
- Grant Rollup Batch Size limits the size of a batch to 200 for rollups to the Fund and Account. Helps prevent governor limits
- Require Fund Intention
- Leave Numeric Value field at 0 if your org is not intending to use Fund Intention
- Update Numeric Value field to 1 if your org does plan to use. This will make Fund Intention required in the Payment Scheduler on the Funding Request or when automating creation of Disbursement and GAU Expenditure records.
